Excerpt from book: CHAPTER II A CONCATENATION ACCORDINGLY THE dainty furnished flat in the big city took the Colonel's fancy. Its owners, a young pair " going home," were people of taste. The rent the Colonel paid made it worth their while to let at once by the month, as he wished. He had written from England to his son to meet him, but had looked for him, on arrival, in vain. Else, Dad will have to go and look him up, and I don't want to be left here alone. It's queer to have a brother and not remember him, is n't it? ...
