ARTICLE I. NAME. The name of this organization shall be The Entomological Society Of Washington. ARTICLE II. OBJECTS. The objects of the Society shall be to promote the study of entomology in all possible bearings, and to cultivate social and friendly relations between those in any way interested in the science. ARTICLE III. MEMBERS. The Society shall consist of active, corresponding, and honorary members. Candidates for membership shall be proposed in writing by at least two active members, and, upon recommendation of a majority of the Executive Committee, shall be balloted for at any subsequent meeting of the Society. A majority vote of the active members present when the ballot is taken shall be necessary for election. ARTICLE IV. OFFICERS. The officers of the Society shall be a President, a First Vice- President, a Second Vice-President, a Recording Secretary, a Corresponding Secretary, and a Treasurer, to be elected by.ballot at the annual meeting. There shall be an Executive Committee, consisting of the officers of the Society and three members to be elected bv the Society in the same manner. ARTICLE V. DUTIES OF OFFICERS. . Section i. The President, or, in his absence, one of the Vice- Presidents, shall preside at the meetings of the Society and of the Executive Committee. It shall be the duty of the President to deliver an address at the closing meeting of the year. Sec. 2. The Recording Secretary shall take and preserve correct minutes of the proceedings of the Society, and shall preserve all publications and other property belonging to the Society. Sec. 3.
